A Distinct Identity
Pretty Girls Are Educated, a youth-focused mentoring program for girls ages 6-18 years old, was founded in September 2017. While developing strong sisterhood, our primary goal is to change the narrative that girls from broken and underprivileged communities don’t have a chance at going far in life, instead becoming successful, educated leaders, entrepreneurs and role models in our communities.
Since the start of our program, we have mentored over 500 girls and young women from all walks of life in Milwaukee, WI, Jamaica, West Indies, and St Thomas, USVI. We have incorporated an annual summer camp for girls within our communities as well as over-the-road educational trips while visiting Historically Black Colleges and Universities. Our girls attend weekly PGAE workshops each Tuesday where they are able to learn and practice social and life skills, etiquette, culinary, community engagement, volunteering, fundraising, personal health development, and more.
We strive to instill greatness into future entrepreneurs, scientists, chefs, leaders and more who will contribute to a lasting world.
Our Mission
Our services will develop a sisterhood where we teach, inspire and motivate one another toward greatness in life fundamentals.
Our Vision
Pretty Girls Are Educated envisions that more women and girls are presented with limitless opportunities, community engagement, building sisterhood, sustainable futures and support to further their educational careers.
